2024 Chevrolet Silverado HD

The 2024 Silverado HD is available in 2500 Silverado HD or 3500 Silverado HD models. The 2500 comes in five trim levels: WT or Work Truck, LT, LTZ, Custom, and High Country. With the 3500, all trims except Custom are available. You can choose Long or Standard bed sizes and Regular, Double, or Crew cab sizes. Standard features include 17-inch wheels, a hood vent, 12 cargo tie-down points, and all-season tires. You'll also get automatic high beams and tinted glass. You can add 18-, 20-, or 22-inch wheels, a snow plow, assist steps, a tonneau cover for the bed, and power-folding, auto-dimming side mirrors. Fog lights, LED lighting for the cargo bed, splash guards, a power sunroof, and rain-sensing windshield wipers are optional as well.

The 6.6-liter V-8 engine gives 401 horsepower and 464 pound-feet of torque, and it uses a six-speed automatic transmission. You can also choose a Duramax 6.6-liter turbo-diesel V-8 that generates 470 horsepower and 975 pound-feet of torque. It has a 10-speed automatic transmission.

The Silverado HD is powerful and fun to drive on the highway or off-road. It comes with excellent acceleration, power steering, a brake pad wear indicator, traction control, and electronic stability control. You'll also get an external auxiliary transmission oil cooler, an external engine oil cooler, and monitoring for the engine air filter. Models with the diesel engine have a diesel exhaust brake and an engine block heater. An integrated trailer brake controller is optional with the WT and standard with other trim levels. You can also choose four-wheel drive. The Silverado HD can pull up to 36,000 pounds and carry up to 7,290 pounds.

The base WT comes with a folding passenger seat with under-seat storage, folding rear seats, a 3.5-inch driver information center, a 12-volt power outlet, and a six-speaker sound system. You'll also get Bluetooth, an outdoor temperature display, a compass, air vents for the rear seats, and a Wi-Fi hotspot. You can add a 12.3-inch driver information center, a 13.4-inch touchscreen, keyless entry, push-button start, leather seats, a power-sliding rear window, and an auto-dimming rearview mirror with a camera for the truck bed and a partial video display. You can also select remote start, SiriusXM satellite radio, audio and phone controls for the steering wheel, and a universal home remote.

The 2024 Silverado HD has sophisticated safety features, including a rearview camera with hitch guidance, automatic emergency braking, forward collision alert, pedestrian detection, and lane departure warning. The dual-stage airbags can deploy at different speeds for protection in a variety of circumstances. The Teen Driver system keeps safety features on and provides an in-vehicle report card to encourage better driving habits. You can add front and rear parking assistance, a 360-degree camera system, lane change alert with side blind zone alert, and rear cross-traffic alert.
