Basics about the 2023 Chevy Trailblazer

Are you looking for a new crossover SUV that combines excellent performance, comfort, and stylish looks? Look no further than the 2023 Chevy Trailblazer. While any configuration of the Trailblazer offers great performance and value, we are here to explain the differences between the different trim levels.

The Chevrolet Trailblazer is a subcompact crossover. This SUV has a seating capacity of five, great gas mileage, and lots of cargo space. All trim levels are available with either front-wheel drive or all-wheel drive, and all Trailblazers with the 1.3L motor are equipped with a drive mode selector.

LS

The most budget-friendly trim level, LS, offers drivers an attractive package of comfort and safety features.

Standard Features

To start with, Chevrolet's in-house package of safety features, Chevy Safety Assist, comes standard on every Trailblazer. The LS Trailblazer comes standard with a 1.2L Ecotec Turbo engine. This motor, paired with a continuously variable transmission, puts out 137 horsepower and 162 lb-ft of torque. The LS has remote stop/start, antilock disc brakes, a 7-inch infotainment screen, and 17-inch painted aluminum wheels.

Optional Upgrades

Drivers looking to take their LS Trailblazer to the next level can select the Blackout Package, the Driver Comfort and Cruise Package, keyless entry, and all-weather interior mats. If you choose all-wheel drive, the LS also offers a bigger 1.3L Ecotec Turbo engine that puts out 155 horsepower and 174 lb-ft of torque. The 1.3L motor is paired with a 9-speed automatic transmission.

LT

Upgrading to the LT trim level gives you access to a suite of options.

Standard Features

LT Trailblazers come standard with keyless start, 17-inch high-gloss black aluminum wheels, heated electric mirrors, power driver's seat, and deeper tinted windows. Also standard is the same 1.2L Ecotec Turbo engine and CVT transmission found in the LS Trailblazer.

Optional Upgrades

Again, the 1.3L Ecotec Turbo engine is available for drivers who upgrade their Trailblazer to all-wheel drive. You can also choose the Confidence II Package, a hands-free programmable liftgate, all-season blackwall tires, and adaptive cruise control.

ACTIV

The ACTIV trim level was designed with off-road drivers in mind. This trim level offers several upgrades that will help you take your 2023 Trailblazer where the other cars can't follow.

Standard Features

The ACTIV Trailblazer is only available with the 1.3L Ecotec Turbo engine. Also standard is a skid plate, sport terrain tires, and an off-road-tuned suspension. These features will keep your vehicle safe if you drive over rugged or uneven terrain.

Optional Upgrades

Drivers have the option to have their ACTIV Trailblazer outfitted with wireless charging, as well as HD radio and a three-spoke heated steering wheel.

RS

The top performance trim level, RS offers drivers an exciting array of features.

Standard Features

The RS Trailblazer is also only available with the 1.3L Ecotec Turbo engine. Standard features include dual-tipped exhaust and 18-inch machined aluminum wheels.

Optional Upgrades

Maximizing Tire Life: Tips for Your Chevy

Your tires will gradually wear out and will eventually need replacement. While it's impossible to prevent tire wear, you can reduce its impact on your tires and delay the need to replace them. As your Chevy dealer, we want to give you a few tips on tire maintenance that will help prevent avoidable early tire replacement. more Tire Maintenance Tips From Your Chevy Dealer Check Tire Pressure Regularly Regularly checking your tire pressure helps keep your tires in good condition. Your front and rear tires have specific pressure requirements, and their pressures are listed in your car manual. They can also be found on a sticker or a metal plate in the inside door jamb on the front passenger side door. Tires that are correctly pressurized will suffer less surface friction damage. Underinflated tires droop slightly, exposing the softer and weaker sidewalls to fiction. In this situation, you'll see excessive smooth bands of wear around the outer edges of the tread and lower sections of the sidewalls. Overinflated tires, in contrast, show excessive wearing in the center of the tread, as the increased pressure pulls the outer edges of the tire away from the surface. We can test your tire pressure and correct it within minutes. Tire Rotations The tire tread gradually wears down. Some of the wear is naturally occurring due to constant contact with the surface, but other factors can also cause wear damage. Wheel misalignment or incorrect tire balances increase damage to specific sections of the tread. Tires also develop increased wear due to their position on your Chevy. A tire rotation will reduce wear damage, as each tire is moved to a new position. The positions the tires move to depend on your drivetrain. Moving the tires to new positions spreads wear and tear more evenly across the tires and extends their life. Our technicians can easily rotate your tires for you. Look For Damage Sharp objects on the road can penetrate a tire surface and cause a leak. A bubble could form on the sidewall of a tire that has been pinched against a hard object. The tire bubble is easily noticeable, and it makes the tire potentially dangerous to drive on. The air inside a tire heats up as you drive, and if the air in the bubble heats up enough it can burst and cause a blowout. Tire cracks can develop on the surface of older tires, as the rubber gradually loses its flexibility. Once a crack forms, it will widen and deepen and eventually cause a leak. We can repair leaks caused by sharp objects, but tire bubbles and cracks can't be repaired. We'll remove the damaged tires and install and balance new ones for you.
