This farm grows a variety of fresh produce, which you can purchase at either the roadside stand or through the CSA subscription program. During the spring, stop by the farm to pick your own fresh strawberries right off the vine. If you visit in the fall, you can pick your very own pumpkin straight from the field where it grew. The farm also offers activities for families during the fall such as a corn maze scavenger hunt and a cow-train ride.

Whitehall Farms

The family-owned 205-acre Whitehall Farm is located in Clifton, Virginia, and has everything from spinach and kale to chicken and beef. You can make this farm your one-stop destination for fresh produce as well as everything else you’ll need to make a healthy meal. If you’re only after some fresh produce, choose from items such as carrots, cucumbers, beets, and zucchini. They have a great selection of apples, which includes varieties like Pink Lady and Golden Delicious.

To complete your meal, you can also buy things like eggs, cheese, and bread. Don’t forget to pick out something for dessert. A few of your options are classic honey shortbread, chocolate dipped pretzels, and double chocolate chip muffins.

Wegmeyer Farms

Wegmeyer Farms is a family-friendly farm that offers strawberry picking in the spring and pumpkin picking in the fall. Regardless of when you visit, you’re sure to have fun, make memories, and enjoy the experience of picking your own produce. During strawberry season, you can visit one of three farms to pick your own strawberries: Wegmeyer’s Home Farm, Oatlands Historic Mansion, and Gilbert’s Corner.
