Set in a casual setting, the chefs rustle up the delicious food using only fresh, local Sterling ingredients which means the menu is regularly changing based on the seasonal availability of produce.
Alongside the menu of excellent toasted paninis and ciabatta sandwiches, this place also rustles up other Italian dishes such as antipasti, pasta, gnocchi, and many great breakfast plates. As you’d expect from an artisan Italian joint, this place also serves up excellent coffee, so it’s great for a pit stop on your lunch break in Sterling.

Taking traditional cooking methods and ingredients from these cuisines and adding a modern American spin to the dishes creates some truly unique menu items that will guarantee you coming back for more every day. You can’t get much better than French bread, so when it comes to sandwiches, it’s a good idea to look for somewhere French, such as Le Vingt Trois. Situated in Herdon, just outside of Sterling, Le Vingt Trois is set in a beautifully rustic French-style cafe with elegant, comfortable chairs and traditional paintings on the walls which creates a laid-back but professional atmosphere.
Classic French options on the menu include the Croque Monsieur, the Jambon Beurre, and the smoked salmon sandwich, and there is also a falafel sandwich available for vegans.
