Meet the 2025 Chevy Silverado 2500 HD: Built to Handle Anything

Performance

There are two engine options for the Silverado 2500, including the standard 6.6L V8 gas engine. This engine generates an impressive 401 horsepower at 5200 rpm with 464 lb.-ft. of torque at 4000 rpm. For more profound performance, there’s an available 6.6L Duramax Turbo-Diesel V8 engine that produces 470 horsepower at 2800 rpm with 975 lb.-ft. of torque at 1600 rpm.

Exterior

The 2025 Silverado comes with a CornerStep rear bumper, cab-mounted cargo box lights, twelve cargo tie-downs, and a roll-formed steel Durabed. The WT base trim has 17-inch steel-painted silver wheels that are paired with all-season blackwall tires and automatic halogen headlamps. Other notable exterior features include the solar-absorbing windshield, vertical trailering mirrors, and locking tailgate.

Seating

The Silverado 2500 can seat as many as six passengers on its two bench seats. The front bench is a 40/20/40 split that comes with an under-seat storage area for small items. The back seat is a 60/40 split that has foldable seat bottoms that can be lifted up to accommodate cargo items on the rear floor space.

Safety

The new Chevy Silverado 2500 comes with OnStar Basics, an important safety package that includes core services like remote commands, built-in voice assistance, and real-time GPS navigation. The OnStar Basics package also has Automatic Crash Response, a key feature that can connect you with an emergency advisor if your truck is involved in an accident.

There are a variety of assistive driving features included in the new Silverado 2500, such as Lane Departure Warning and IntelliBeam automatic high beams. Lane Departure Warning alerts you when it detects the truck veering out of its designated lane unintentionally, while IntelliBeam automatically dims your high beams when it detects an oncoming vehicle headed in your direction.

Technology

The 2025 Silverado 2500 comes with a Chevrolet Infotainment 3 system measuring seven inches. This system includes Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, Bluetooth audio streaming, AM/FM radio, and voice command pass-through. Higher Silverado 2500 trims from the LT and up, include a 13.4-inch Chevrolet Infotainment 3 Plus system with Google built-in for access to Maps, Assistant, and Play.

The brand-new Silverado 2500 is also Wi-Fi hotspot capable both inside and outside the truck. You can get internet access on up to ten devices, allowing you to stream entertainment or do some online shopping while you’re traveling.
