Introduced as a stopgap while fans waited for the official 2022 refresh, the limited edition Silverado nonetheless gave them plenty to get excited about. 1. Active Safety Features

Since 2021, the Silverado has boasted a comprehensive range of available safety features. This engine comes as standard on RST Crew Cab models and the 3.0l Duramax diesel engine is now also available on the LT Trail Boss trim. The 6.2l V8 engine is available on the Custom Trail Boss trim and higher.

4. Enhanced Engine Performance

Some of the most striking changes introduced with the 2022 Silverado LTD have been the improvements to engine performance. With a stiffer crankshaft and more rigid cylinder block casting, the 2.7l turbo engine sees a 20% increase in torque, making it capable of producing 420 pound-feet. The 3.0l Duramax diesel engine can tow 13,300 pounds on a two-wheel drive and has a payload of 2,310 pounds, thanks to innovations on the chassis.

As a result of these improvements, the limited edition Silverado now tops several in-class specs, including the most powerful base model engine.

5. Advanced Towing Tech

The limited edition’s formidable towing capabilities can be maximized with several available towing features, including trailer sway control, grade braking, hill start assist, and 15 possible camera views. There’s also an advanced trailering system that interfaces with an in-vehicle app.
