Chevrolet continues to compete in the electric vehicle realm, and it has upgraded the Bolt EV for 2020. So, what makes the 2020 Chevy Bolt EV a great electric vehicle? You’ll have to read on to find out.

Sporty Style

The 2020 Bolt EV features a sporty hatchback style, and it is available in the LT and Premier trim levels. Large windows and a broad windshield provide exceptional outward visibility. Sleek lines and a slightly curved front highlight this vehicle’s sporty design. With plenty of new vibrant exterior color options, the Bolt EV is yours to customize.

The LT trim level features LED headlights, 17-inch wheels, and a keyless ignition. Additionally, extras include an available package that features heated front seats and a heated steering wheel. A DC fast-charging port is also available as an add-on. The upper-level Premier trim includes leather seats, an HD surround-view camera system, heated front and rear seats, blind-spot monitors, and rear parking sensors.

Strong Performance

For 2020, the Bolt EV comes equipped with an electric motor that produces 200 horsepower. Featuring front-wheel drive, the Bolt EV sports agile handling and quick and powerful acceleration. According to Chevrolet, the Bolt EV can reach a speed of 60 mph in under seven seconds, which is impressive for a vehicle of its nature.

The Bolt EV’s battery pack is situated in the floor, and it has a battery capacity of 66 kwh. Perfect for daily commutes or extensive road trips, the Bolt EV’s driving range is approximately 259 miles, according to the EPA. It receives a fuel-efficiency rating of around 118 MPGe combined.

Versatile Interior

For a compact car, the Bolt EV features a roomy cabin, with seating for up to five passengers. Thanks to its vertical hatchback design, the Bolt EV comes equipped with plenty of head room and leg room. Its large doors and high ceilings provide easy access to the rear seat. In terms of cargo space, the Bolt EV provides approximately 16.9 cubic feet of cargo space behind the rear seats. With the rear seats folded down, 56.6 cubic feet of space becomes available for larger cargo items.

The dashboard sports a huge 10.2-inch touchscreen for information and entertainment with Bluetooth, Apple Carplay, and Android Auto capabilities. Additionally, the Chevrolet Energy Assist function allows drivers to search for nearby charging stations and provides information regarding charging the vehicle.

Advanced Safety Features

Safety features for the 2020 Bolt EV are included in a couple of different packages. First up, the available Driver Confidence I package features blind-spot monitors as well as rear parking sensors. Secondly, the Driver Confidence II package includes active lane control, automatic high beams, and forward-collision warnings with automatic emergency braking.

In addition, stepping up to the Premier trim level gets you a surround-view camera system and a rear camera mirror.
